Part-time Project and Program CoordinatorMuslim Center of Greater Princeton (MCGP) & NUR Center

Position Overview

The Muslim Center of Greater Princeton (MCGP) and the NUR Center seek a Part-time Project and Program Coordinator for a six- to eight-month term. This role involves overseeing operations at the NUR Center and coordinating special projects for MCGP’s general programming. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and passionate about community engagement, education, and program development.

Key Responsibilities

1.     Program Development

  • Create and develop new class offerings in collaboration with instructors and subject-matter experts.

  • Recruit and onboard instructors while ensuring the NUR Center operates at maximum capacity throughout the week for self-sustainability model and serving needs of our community through feedback and interests.

2.     Partnership & Community Engagement with Programming

  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with existing MCGP committees.

  • Ensure strong institutions such as Princeton University’s Muslim Life Program, Rutgers University, and other schools.

  • Recruit volunteers, interns, and instructors from undergraduate, graduate, and faculty communities, as well as MCGP volunteers.

  • Foster relationships with local organizations, masjids, synagogues, and churches for collaborative programs and community service initiatives.

3.     NUR Campus Presence and Operational Efficiency

  • Spend 70% of work hours on-site, either at the NUR Center or MCGP.

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient class management and cost-effective program execution.

4.     Class Management

  • Oversee class operations at the NUR Center, including setup, cleanup, and resolution of technical or equipment issues.

  • Manage registration and communication with families, students, and instructors.

  • Coordinate class schedules and ensure smooth execution.

  • Submit billing and financial records to MCGP accountants under a dedicated budget for tracking revenue and expenses.

5.     Performance & Marketing

  • Maintain a class fill rate of 85% or higher by implementing effective marketing and social media strategies.

  • Develop and execute outreach efforts to grow student enrollment and engagement.

  • Monitor expenses and contribute to organizational growth and sustainability.
